Potchefstroom police station closed after positive Covid-19 test

The Potchefstroom police station in OR Tambo Street has been closed temporarily after a visitor tested positive for Covid-19.

The individual was in contact with some officers and the purpose of the closure is to decontaminate the building, said Brig. Steven Moodley, station commander, in a statement on Wednesday 17 June.

The community service centre will now operate from the SAPS Potchefstroom Officers Club, which is located between the current community service centre and the detective offices. We will only be attending to cases reported, Moodley said.
